Resources directory (french only)
This directory is intended for anyone who may have to refer individuals with a dependence problem and should enable them to direct the person in difficulty to a specialized resource. It lists public resources offering treatment services, and private or community organizations intervening in cases of drug addiction and offering accommodation that are certified by the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux and the organizations funded by the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux for compulsive gambling.
The directory contains the following information, listed by public health region of Québec:
This list does not in any way prejudge the quality of services offered by any other private or community organizations working with drug addiction or offering accommodation whose names do not appear in the directory. For these organizations, we recommend that you ask about their certification process.
If you require more information, please contact the resources and ask for any additional information you need.
Liste des groupes de médecine de famille accrédités (french only)
The Family medecine group map is an interactive cartographic module. Using a map of Québec, you can view a particular territory and see where accredited family medicine groups are located.
The content of this module is limited but will be periodically updated. We also intend to make comprehensive geographical information rapidly available, providing as much validated, relevant and up-to-date information as we can with the means available.
No person may act as a funeral director or claim to be able to act as a funeral director unless he holds a permit issued for that purpose by the Minister (R.S.Q., c. L-0.2).
The Minister of Health and Social Services is therefore responsible for issuing permits to funeral directors. These permits are valid for one year, from January 1 to December 31, and are renewable each year.
To remain a permit holder, the holder must fulfil the required conditions for obtaining it, including complying with the requirements dictated by the Act respecting medical laboratories, organ, tissue, gamete and embryo conservation, and the disposal of human bodies (Loi sur les laboratoires médicaux, la conservation des organes, des tissus, des gamètes et des embryons et la disposition des cadavres ), and the Regulation respecting the Application of the Public Health Protection Act (Règlement d'application de la Loi sur la protection de la santé publique ) (R. R. Q., 1981 c. P-35r.1). However, the law provides, under certain conditions, for the issuing of a funeral director's permit for the sole purpose of maintaining a columbarium or operating a crematorium.
